P.W.B will plant the first of 150,000 new trees today

  • June 17th

The Ministry of Forests and Pacific Western Brewery representatives will plant the first of 150,000 new trees this afternoon near Prince George.

In March of this year, PWB announced a partnership with the Ministry of Forests to plant 150,000 trees in BC over the next three years to replace those lost to pine beetle and forest fires. The first 50,000 will be planted in the Cariboo region, near Prince George this week.

This afternoon, just outside of Prince George, a representative of the Ministry of Forests will be joined by Brewmaster Peter Boettcher and Brewery Manager Tom Leboe to plan the first of 150,000 trees.

The planting team will meet at the Bonvoyage at 1:30 pm (PST) and proceed about half an hour out from there to begin planting.
