Cariboo Presents House of Pain – Enter to Win tix

  • March 17th , 2011
Prince George, BC—Cariboo Brewing announced today they are sponsoring House of Pain’s concert at the CN Center in Prince George on June 18.

The concert will celebrate the planting of the 100,000th tree in the brewery’s reforestation program.  One year ago, on March 17, 2010, the brewery announced a commitment to plant 150,000 trees in the Cariboo over three years to replace those lost to pine beetle and forest fires.

The House of Pain concert also coincides with the brewery’s year-long celebration of the 20th year of ongoing, local ownership by President and CEO Kazuko Komatsu, who has championed the brewing team’s focus on quality, consistency and passion for creating truly great beer.

This year also marks the 20th anniversary for House of Pain and, not surprisingly, Everlast and Danny Boy are celebrating their anniversary in style.  For the first time since their split in 1996 the duo is teaming up once again for the “He Who Breaks The Law” world tour that is sure to be one of the most anticipated of the year.

Cariboo Brewing is offering the opportunity for one lucky customer and guest to win an incredible JUMP AROUND prize package (named after one of House of Pain’s top hits) which includes:

  • Return Airfare for 2 to the Cariboo
  • Accommodation for three days and two nights, at Coast Hotel Inn of the North

The brewery’s reforestation initiative is a partnership with the Province’s “Forests for Tomorrow” program.  As the seedlings grow, they will absorb carbon dioxide and “breathe out” clean oxygen.  Over their 80-year lifespan, the oxygen produced by these 50,000 trees will offset 6,080 tons of carbon; the equivalent of taking over 1,500 average cars off the road next year.

Cariboo Brewing proudly brews Cariboo Genuine Draft, Cariboo Honey Lager and new Cariboo Cream Ale – all created locally at its Prince George brewery and enjoyed by beer lovers throughout beautiful B.C.
